Even though Friday ended up being one of the loveliest days of my life, I was super nervous. I spent the morning trying to remember every book I've read in the last 3 years, and trying to skim essays I should have read 3 months ago.
Once everyone arrived, I talked for a few minutes about context for my projects. This included Andy Goldsworthy, TJ Cobden-Sanderson, and Robert Smithson. Then I read two of my pieces. Then we talked for a while about all of my favorite things to do with art and writing. Every person in the room was someone I love—and it was the best time ever!
That night a few of my friends sat around laughing and eating kale chips + peanut mm's and joking about how we need fanny pack emergency packs. Awesome.
In the words of my favorite professor ever, Dr. Talbot—and then the class was over. I'm finished with my MFA. (And now for the rest of my life.)
