"It happened a week ago.
He'd been living in mexico for the past three months and i hadn't heard his voice since the day he got there and called to say he had arrived safely. I'd talked to him on tuesday when he was in the airport for his first layover in the United States, but i hadn't seen his face yet. I live 3.5 hours away from him and made the trip north on thursday night after deciding to skip classes on friday (i never skip class....).
My roommate took me almost all the way up with her and her fiancé. I had the same song in my ear on repeat all the way up, as i was staring out the window at the full moon, obsessed with how breathtaking it was. He met me in a parking lot and we hugged for at least 100 seconds before either of us said a word. Neither of us are much at all for public affection (we actually both quite dislike it), but it was as if my cares about that ran right out of my ears at the sight of his silly yellow car pulling up to me.
We've been dating for almost a year now and he still asked if he could kiss me (maybe it's because of the possibility that someone might see). I said yes, he could. And I have never been happier to be honked at for blocking parking lot traffic (while kissing the boy i probably want to marry)."——cj
Dear CJ! thank you for blocking that traffic. If you marry him, please send me a note so I can properly celebrate with you.
