I don't believe in Single Awareness Day

But I do believe in Valentines. (As previously mentioned) I believe in hearts. I believe in Bruno Mars. In grenades. In emails from foreign countries. In spending all morning talking to my sister in all caps.*

DO SOMETHING LOVELY TODAY.

*It was like we were shouting to each other from 70 miles away about her laptop's battery & a boy she likes. It was so festive.

    i love it!!!!

i detest the phrase 'single awareness day'. i LOVE valentine's day. i love it! there are so many people to love and thank on that day. :) it doesn't have to be a couples only thing for heaven's sake.

    so i'm with you.

  3. Actually, I've never thought of it as "Single Awareness Day". I think it's more "Everyone gets a heart-shaped balloon Day".

Isn't it nice that there's more than one kind of love? My personal favorite is "agape". (Greek reference).

  4. I love me some Bruno Mars! When I was living with Oli for a few years and we were both single for every valentines day, we would look up all of our friends addresses on stalker net and send them homemade valentines in the mail. It was so much fun writing ridiculous poems and painting our cards, and it helped me forget about not getting flowers or a nice dinner from a boy. Good memories!

    Have a stellar weekend!

  6. This song reminds me of blue cars, sisters and Little-Oak-Trees in December.

  7. Yeah, I'm still not a fan. But I'm a lot less bitter about Valentine's Day than I used to be.
